What Are They Saying
About Harris Media?
Vincent Harris and his team were key to carrying my message of new jobs, and more opportunities to tens of thousands of Virginia via social media, e-mail, and mobile technology. I was very pleased with their work, and would recommend them to any campaign wanting to expand their virtual footprint.

Harris Media understands the importance new media technologies have on the outcome of elections. During my recent campaign he effectively communicated with supporters across the state of Texas by building a large, active coalition of supportive blogs and websites. Vincent knows how critical e-mail capture and online fundraising help to further the conservative cause. I enjoyed working with Vincent and recommend his services to any candidate or business wanting to break through the "technological barrier."
~ NRSC Chairman and Texas Senator John Cornyn

Vincent was one of those special young men in whom I see remarkable potential. Humble and polite to the point of being over the top, he was incredibly talented in understanding the power of the Internet and the potential of using a blog to create a daily log of activities and information and to build an online community.

Bringing Vincent on board was more than just a shot in the arm – he transformed the way we campaigned on the web and helped us integrate our website into every aspect of our grassroots campaign. Over the course of our Primary and General election campaign we were able to grow our email list 6 fold from its start and Vincent wrote and sent regular email appeals to our growing list that raised us tens of thousands of dollars. We expanded our campaign efforts to include podcasting, web videos, an aggressive youth outreach via Facebook and MySpace, and Vince was able to get blog posts on policy written by Jeb posted on large National Republican blog sites which scored us a lot of earned media here in our state as all as encouraged more traffic to our website.

Campaign Manager, Jeb Bradley for Congress
Having known Vincent for years, I can attest to his ability to complete the most difficult tasks on time and with the highest quality. Vincent is a leading expert on the Internet and is a pioneer in harnessing its power to reach out to voters of every generation and political leaning. If candidates or businesses want to utilize cutting edge new media technologies and strategies, they cannot go wrong by hiring Harris Media.

Vincent has been with me since I first ran for office. As my first campaign manager he was instrumental in helping me win a victory by only a few votes in a Republican Convention. His knows the power of New Media and the Internet and understands that Republicans can't afford to let the gap widen any further with the Democrats. Every conservative should seek his advice and counsel if they want to run an effective online campaign.
~ Virginia Delegate Jackson Miller
The McDonnell Campaign
The Obama campaign blazed electronic trails in 2008, and the McDonnell campaign sought to adapt to the new contours, beginning with an online announcement of his candidacy and a message to "Text VA to GOBOB" on banners and yard signs. Between social media networks, texting and e-mail, the campaign was regularly in direct contact with more than 200,000 voters – impressive.
~ The Washington Post
McDonnell's campaign has used their Website, email lists and GOP-friendly bloggers to get the word out about signing up for volunteer shifts. It has gained more than 2,500 interested volunteers via social media and the Website.

Virginia's new governor-elect, Republican Bob McDonnell, ran an online campaign that caught the eyes of many who pay attention to this sort of thing..building up a gorgeously branded online presence which consisted of a website full of tools and resources, a custom Ning network transformed into the McDonnell action community, and more.
~ Tech President
McDonnell’s site is excellent from start to finish, with a BarackObama.com-inspired visual style, clear organization and plenty of ways for supporters to get involved. The site works hard to turn visitors into activists through a prominent signup/toolkit section with clear action links — “get a yard sign” or “attend a fundraiser,”— while also highlighting recent videos, blog posts, campaign news and the campaign’s social media channels.

Up until yesterday, it was just a given that Republicans would lose the war online. It may be too early to declare them victorious in 2009, but the GOP’s presence on the internet grew exponentially in this campaign. From offering right-leaning bloggers better seating at the Republican convention than the media, to gathering more Facebook friends and Twitter followers for Bob McDonnell than any other candidate.
~ NBC 12
McDonnell’s campaign made the best use of social media I have yet to see. Obama may have written the book on social media and activism, but the McDonnell campaign is the first to really put it into practice.
