Vincent Harris Interview With Texas Politics Projects

Recently, Texas Politics Project at the University of Texas interviewed our CEO, Vincent Harris, about digital media and how Republicans are utilizing it in their 2014 and 2016 campaigns. We want to highlight the following videos from his interview: the Tea Party and Senator Ted Cruz in Texas, Facebook vs. Twitter in campaigns, Wendy Davis and the future of the GOP in Texas with Hispanics, and whether political campaigns matter.

Texas Politics are very unique. There is an increasingly diverse culture, but a strong sense of pride for this great state. In this first video Vincent describes how our client, Senator Cruz changed Republican politics in Texas.

Digital Media is crucial to any campaign, company, advocacy group… you name it. Facebook and Twitter are by far the most popular social media websites amongst voting aged adults (the audience of most of our clients). So the question is, how do Facebook and Twitter campaigns differ? Vincent breaks it down and shows the benefits of both and how to use them effectively.

The face of the Texas Republican party is changing.. for the better! Vincent discusses the growing population of Hispanic Republican voters and politicians and their huge significance to the Texas GOP. He also mentions that Democrats are spending a lot of money in Texas and having a low turnout.

In this last video, Vincent spoke about how to use databases like NationBuilder to run campaigns, “There’s no doubt in my mind that launching campaigns with data behind you, with an understanding of how voters are going to receive information obviously matters.”

Harris Media is innovative in reaching an audience through Digital Media. We are the clear choice in Digital Media for politicians and advocacy groups. Check out some of our biggest clients and see for yourself:
