Director of Accounts

Harris Media is a premier marketing and communications firm located in Miami, Florida. We have collaborated with sitting Governors, Members of Congress, State Legislators, Local Candidates, non-profit advocacy groups, small businesses, and even a top-tier Presidential campaign. As the Director of Accounts, you will oversee major company accounts, manage designated account staff, and lead a key account with creativity, precision, and exceptional client satisfaction. This role primarily involves external client interaction.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients to promote new business opportunities (videos, websites, etc.)
  • Serve as an elevated point-of-contact for client issues, including after normal work hours for rapid response
  • Manage a comprehensive client budget and adapt to pacing changes on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Attend department meetings to update the team on clients and projects, and help drive the company into new areas
  • Participate in interdisciplinary labs within the company to foster creativity
  • Ensure that each client meets Harris Media’s standards as well as their own
  • Oversee the timely completion of larger, high-profile projects
  • Set specific goals for each client that align with the company’s strategic direction and ensure ongoing progress towards these goals
  • Act as a thought leader within the company and the industry, participating in content creation (blogs, live streams, videos, etc.)
  • Engage in professional growth opportunities and represent the company at industry events

When it comes to managing your Account Team, you will:

  • Onboard new hires to each client and the team
  • Manage hours, time off, illnesses, and attendance to ensure proper working hours
  • Recommend personnel changes, including growth needs
  • Ensure compliance with company policies
  • Recommend your staff for bonuses and promotions
  • Collaborate with your Senior Account Executive to enhance your account team’s knowledge through team-wide and individual learning opportunities (including certifications)
  • Suggest infrastructure improvements, such as equipment purchases and training programs
  • Take responsibility for your personal and professional growth, as well as the growth of your team members
  • Perform other duties as necessary

This is a full-time position based in Miami, FL, with a salary range of $65,000 – $90,000, depending on experience, plus opportunities for bonuses and commission pay. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to our downtown office or plan to relocate before starting work. Normally, this position follows a hybrid schedule: working 8:00am to 5:00pm from our office Monday through Wednesday and from home on Thursdays and Fridays.
